Any anime freaks in your family?” “Once, there was this guy I didn’t like who courted my sister…” You’ve never heard funny the same way this guy tells it. Enjoy SLICE-OF-LAUGH stand-up with live-action comic Mike Unson, the choice of the comedic professionals! Unlike other stand-uppers, Mike doesn’t flush his funnies with toilet humor and dirty jokes. He gets his daily inspirations by opening himself up to all the ‘funny’ that surrounds us everyday from mutant taxi drivers, Paris Hilton wannabe call center agents, and the growingly irreverent youth. It’s local flavored comedy that leaves a funny taste in your mouth. Mike’s also got a long string of credentials that isn’t just all chuckles balls. He first started with an improv theater group Big Bang Cheery, and once the bang fizzled out, he moved on to going solo. From there, he’s opened for Rex Navarette on numerous occasions during his Philippine tour of duty, and even taught Stand-up courses at the Ateneo law school in Rockwell. His next big break was when he sky-rocketted to fame together with JoJo A All The Way, which was a great laugh-trip for as long as it lasted. In 2005, Mike also out-laughed his contemporaries at a stand-up comedy stand-off, to take home the grand prize. If you want to knock back a few hits of Mike’s funny, go check out his show dates and appearances.
